Living history of Larnaca.
The popular holiday resort of Larnaca, according to local and Cypriot legend as a colour and chequered past. It is the oldest living city in Cyprus dating back over 6000 years. Traditionalists and local historians believe it was first founded on the spot Noah's Grandson, Khittam, first settled. It still exists, and always has, on the exact same spot, although the City itself has expanded considerably.
Situated at the gate of Europe, Asia and Africa, it lays it path to some of the most colourful history in Cyprus history, attracting visitors, conquerors and colonisers from exotic places such as the British, Byzantines, Egyptians, the Franks, Greeks, Persians, Romans and Turks.
